The Portuguese coach will not be on the bench for the matches against Antalya, Samsun, Bodrum, and Trabzon

The match between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray caused quite a stir. There were no goals, but tensions ran high between members of the coaching staff. As a result, Galatasaray has announced that they will file a racism complaint against Jose Mourinho. However, before that, "The Special One" will face a suspension from the Turkish Football Federation for unsportsmanlike conduct during the match against the reigning champions.

The Yellow Canaries will be without their head coach for the next four league matches against Antalya, Samsun, Bodrum, and Trabzon.

Interestingly, Mourinho received support from two of his former players—Didier Drogba and Michael Essien. Notably, Drogba spent part of his career at Galatasaray, which will certainly not sit well with the club’s fans.

Things could get even worse for Fenerbahce if Galatasaray's lawsuit is successful, as Mourinho could face a six-month suspension. As if the ongoing challenges this season weren’t enough for Fenerbahce, losing their coach for such a long period would be a major blow. Galatasaray is expected to push hard for the punishment, and they certainly have the influence to make it happen.

This isn’t the first time the Portuguese coach has been sanctioned this season. After a match against Trabzonspor, he claimed he was forced to fight against "the system," which resulted in a suspension and a 26 thousand euros fine.

Despite all the turmoil, Fenerbahce remained focused and secured a convincing 4-1 away victory over Gaziantep in the Turkish Cup. Goals came from Filip Kostic, Youssef En-Nesyri, and Anderson Talisca, who scored twice.

Fenerbahce continues its fight for the league title, although Galatasaray has built a six-point lead at the top. Meanwhile, Mourinho and his team are also preparing for the Europa League Round of 16, where they will face Scottish side Rangers.
