Coach Lenny Wanyama did not fully believe that Amuka FC were ripe enough to win the next edition of the Kwanza Heroes Cup until gaming giants, Mozzart Bet, made a surprise visit to their training ground last week.
Wanyama was fine-tuning tactics at the Amuka Comprehensive School Grounds when Mozzart Bet staff sneaked in, parked at a distance, and watched the young men knock the football around.

Tackles, saves, blocks, dribbles and tactical moves were on full display, even as Wanyama consistently barked instructions- and demanded more from his boys.
Though the players displayed remarkable talent, it was impossible to ignore the shortage of modern training equipment — including essentials such as footballs and proper kits.
However, after the session, Wanyama and his charges had every reason to smile as Mozzart Bet, through the initiative dubbed New Jerseys for New Champions, delivered brand new kits and footballs, much to the jubilation of the youthful players.
The seasoned tactician described the donation as the missing piece to the puzzle in their quest to win the regional tournament, set to kick off in January next year.
“This gesture is exactly what we needed to confirm our readiness for the cup. The boys have been preparing well, but their biggest concern was having to play in old, worn-out kits.
This fresh look will definitely motivate them to go for the title,” said Wanyama.
Wanyama thanked Mozzart Bet for their effort in kitting the team, which finished fourth in the previous edition of the 16-team tournament.
“We are happy that Mozzart Bet has solved one of our challenges. We applaud them for supporting grassroots clubs because, as you move around, you can clearly see the impact they have made.
Several teams in our region have also been wearing kits provided by them,” added Wanyama.
Mozzart Sport Senior Reporter Kevin Teya remains the most notable fan of the community-owned outfit.
