Adagala has also assured that adequate security will be provided during the match
Muhoroni Youth will host their Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match against Gor Mahia at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay, the club has announced.
The match will be played on Sunday. According to Muhoroni Youth chairman Moses Adagala, the decision to host the match at the venue is to pay back the county government for their support in the past.
“The Governor of Homa Bay has been very supportive of many teams in the region, and we have opted to pay them back by hosting the match at this venue. We are very grateful for their support in the past,” he said.
Adagala has also assured that adequate security will be provided during the match and has urged fans to turn up in large numbers.
“We understand this is a high-risk match, and we have therefore made adequate security arrangements to ensure everyone is safe. We urge fans to turn up in large numbers,” he said.
200/300
Tickets will retail at Sh. 200 for terraces and Sh. 300 for the VIP area, according to Adagala.
Adagala also expressed confidence that his team will win the match to end a bad run of results that has followed them in recent matches.
“We have had time to rest, and with the league resuming, our players have rectified past mistakes, and we are determined to win on Sunday to get back to our winning ways,” he said.
Muhoroni Youth are currently in the relegation zone after collecting just eight points in 11 matches, while Gor Mahia remain second on the log with 21 points from 11 matches as well.
The local league resumes this week after an international break, which saw Harambee Stars take part in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against the Seychelles and Gabon.
