Speaking to Mozzart Sport, the lanky defender lifted the lid on other positions he has featured in earlier on in his career.

“In football, you have to be versatile. I started out my career as a goalkeeper then I was converted to a right full-back then layer played in midfield for some games while I was still in Congo.”

“Playing in midfield was not that strange to me, back in Sofapaka I also played in midfield, it’s up to the coach to decide on where I play, I’m happy that we posted better performances while playing there,” explained Mulumba.

Since rejoining Bandari, the defender is yet to suffer a defeat while playing for the club as they have gone on a six-game unbeaten run.

Mulumba however failed to nail down a position that he is comfortable playing in, insisting on giving the best for team.

“I have played as a centre back for a long time, as a player I also have the incites of playing in midfield which I can use when deployed there. It’s not about being comfortable or not, where the coach sees wise for me to play I will give my all in order to help the team,” added Mulumba.
