
Murang'a Seal sack Osborne on Monday after Mozzart Bet Cup drubbing

The Murang'a-based side were handed a 5-1 whitewash at the hands of Mfalme FC, bundling the club out of the cup in the round of 16 hurdle.
Following an embarrassing exit in the Mozzart Bet Cup, Murang'a Seal has rang the changes, parting ways with head coach Osborne Monday and his assistant Philip Wanjoya.

The Murang'a-based side were handed a 5-1 whitewash at the hands of Mfalme FC, bundling the club out of the cup in the round of 16 hurdle.
The 2025 Mozzart Bet Cup second runners-up also posted an uninspiring league form recently, going winless in four matches following two draws and a similar number of defeats.
In an official statement released on Monday, 13 April, the club confirmed that they had “mutually agreed to part ways” with Monday, who served as head coach.
“We extend our sincere appreciation to both coaches for their professionalism, dedication, and contribution during their time with the club, and we wish them every success in their future endeavours,” read part of the statement signed by CEO Josh Mwangi.
Mfalme, plying their trade in the FKF Division One Zone D, stunned the top-flight outfit at the Eldoret ASK Showground, producing the biggest upset of the weekend.

Despite enjoying strong support from travelling fans, Seal were outclassed in a one-sided affair that has since triggered serious introspection within the club.
Following the shake-up, Murang’a Seal have moved swiftly to stabilise the technical bench, appointing Dennis Odhiambo as head coach until the end of the season.
The former Harambee Stars midfielder cum defender, who has previously been part of the club setup as a player, will be assisted by Marcus Abwao.
The club expressed confidence in the new technical team, noting that it remains focused on achieving its season objectives despite the recent setback.
Murang’a Seal will now turn their attention back to the FKF Premier League, with seven matches left to salvage what has been a challenging campaign.
Monday, a Nairobi-born midfielder during his playing days, enjoyed a well-travelled career featuring for clubs such as Mathare United, Tusker FC, Sofapaka FC, Kariobangi Sharks, Posta Rangers FC and Kakamega Homeboyz, as well as stints abroad with Al-Shabab and Azam FC.
On the international stage, he earned 27 caps for Harambee Stars after making his debut in 2007, scoring once for the national team.
