Police have won a game since their promotion to the top flight

Battle-hardened Kenya Police captain Musa Mohammed has admitted that the team is under pressure in the wake of their poor run in the league.

Police are yet to begin realizing decent returns on the investments put in experienced squad as the newbies wallow just one place above the red line after seven rounds.

The law enforcers were promoted to the top league before the season began after emerging victorious in the playoff and subsequently, the management went on a shopping spree in both the local and external markets.

Going by the calibre of the players the club acquired who include four Kenyan internationals, they were largely expected to give opponents a run for their money but have been reduced to punching bags.

Musa, one of the high-profile names the team broke the bank to acquire his services conceded that the players were feeling the heat of the unwanted results posted before.

Other big names the club signed are former AFC Leopards captain Duncan Otieno who signed from Zambian side Lusaka Dynamos, Duke Abuya who was also head hunted from Zambia, last season's National Super League top scorer Cornelius Juma among others.

"Of course the players feel that we could have performed better in the last matches. Pressure is rife in the team as everyone wants to get positive results," he said.

Even as the bench continues to smart out of the danger zone, Musa, the 2017 CECAFA Senior Challenge winning Harambee Star captain noted positives from the previous matches that left him convinced that the rough patch will soon be over.

" It will not take long before we start registering positive results in a consistent manner. The chemistry between players is improving daily and within a short time we will start getting the desired results," said the former Nkana FC man.

The former Gor Mahia skipper in the meantime believes that Police will achieve a respectable finish at the end of the season
