KCB FC head coach Bernard Mwalala has expressed satisfaction at the same time taking pride in his side’s improvement and away form following the bankers' 2-1 win over Murang’a Seal in a league match played at the St. Sebastian Park on Sunday.

Haniff Wesonga and Francis Kahiro were on target for the Bankers with the on-form Awita Batts scoring the consolation for Murang’a Seal.

KCB, who have put behind their backs a rather slow start to the season, defied all the odds to end the league debutant’s run of seven league matches without defeat and hand the George Njoroge-instructed side a second home loss since promotion from the second tier.

Speaking to the press after the match, Mwalala who joined the club at the start of this season from Ulinzi Stars was pleased with the away performance of his charges.

The Nairobi-based club boosts a second-best away record in the league just behind the league defending champions Gor Mahia who have collected 16 points from matches out of the capital city while KCB have 14 points from six away league games.

Subsequently, no team in the league has scored more away goals than the Bankers with the club netting twelve times three more than FC Talanta who have found the back of the net nine times, while Gor and Posta Rangers come third on eight goals each.

I am very proud of the boys for today’s win. We know for sure that Murang’a is a tough hunting ground, but we have managed to snatch the three important points. So far, our away record is good as we have won against Homeboyz, Muhoroni, and now Murang’a Seal. We hope to continue with the same momentum." Offered Mwalala

Mwalala will be hoping to see his charges carry the away form to their home league games with the club struggling at home, having won two, drawn two, and lost one, if they are to achieve their objective of winning the league title this season
