Namanda scores as Musanze beat Rayon Sports

Former Tusker FC winger Luke Namanda was on the scoresheet as Rwanda's Musanze FC edged Rayon Sports, home to former AFC Leopards winger Paul Were 2-0 i

After managing to hold the Rwandese giants for the better part of the match, Peter Aghbrevor gave Musanze the lead after 83 minutes with the Kenyan doubling the advantage three minutes later.

This was the first time that Musanze were recording a win over Rayon Sports in the last six years, their last win coming in July 2016 when they won by an identical 2-0 scoreline.

The team was under the stewardship of fitness coach Idrissa Nyandwi as the head coach Frank 'Furo' Ouna is reportedly in Kenya for a medical check-up while the assistant Maurice Nshimiyimana "Maso" is in Kampala, Uganda, to work for the B License issued by the Confederation of African Football, CAF.

Musanze moved to fifth on the log with 17 points from 11 matches while Rayon held on to the top spot but with a reduced gap between them and the second-placed Kiyovu Sports.
