New African gem Trevoh Chalobah is the best thing that happened to EPL

A few years ago he was just a ball boy at Stamford Bridge. Today, the entire world talks about him
Lionel Messi's departure from Barcelona and mesmerising transfer to PSG will probably be the most significant moment of this year in the world of football. But one humble African kid, who couldn't take his eyes of Messi once he played at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea a few years ago, is no longer a ball boy.

He grew up into an English Premier League highly-praised star after a single game! Trevoh Chalobah is the top news in the whole of England and a vast part of Europe after his yesterday's divine debut for the Blues, embellished with a marvellous long-range effort that ended in the back of Crystal Palace's net.
A standing ovation of fully packed Stamford Bridge for the 22-year-old defender born in Sierra Leone speaks for itself. It's the most significant possible approval of someone's skills and football talent. Hopefully, it's also just another step on Chalobah's steady road to the glory that started 14 years ago, when he joined Chelsea academy after moving from his homeland with his family.
His story is one of those dream-come-true fairytales, where all the necessary ingredients - humbleness, talent, passion, devotion, determination and hard work - have been put together to reach the milestone. To finish the academy with the highest marks and then enter the big stage with some style.
That's exactly what the elegant centre-back has done so far, and that Crystal Palace goal has raised the bar sky-high. Especially if you hear the Stamford Bridge roar and the unprecedented support, Chalobah obviously enjoys from his older teammates.

Werner, Pulisic and co. are aware of his outstanding qualities and are grateful for the chance of playing with another African gem. Now, it's on Chalobah to live up to those high expectations and become a household name in the Premier League.

Only the ones who dream big are capable of doing big things. And Trevoh seems just like a guy who can make this real.
