In a short period, both Evanilson and Unal suffered severe injuries, which will keep them sidelined for months, making Bournemouth start a hasty pursuit of a new alternative
They already hate 2025 at Vitality Stadium! At a time when Bournemouth are having arguably their best-ever Premier League season, the Cherries experienced a major setback, losing both centre forwards in just four days.
The scorer of five this season, Brazilian Evanilson broke his foot in the previous round's clash against Everton and had already undergone surgery. Although no timescale has yet been put on his return, he'll undoubtedly be sidelined for a significant period.
However, it was only the beginning of Bournemouth's tragedy. To make matters worse, Evanilson's understudy Enes Unal tore his ACL only four days later, but the duration of his absence is already known, as he won't return until the end of the season.

This series of unfortunate events forced the Cherries' management to react and hastily start looking for an attacking addition since the manager Andoni Iraola can count on only one centre forward, the inexperienced 21-year-old Daniel Jebbison, who has been immediately recalled from his season-long loan at the Championship side Watford.
Apart from the Canadian, Antoine Semenyo and Justin Kliuvert can fill in the gap in the attack, but only temporarily, as both of them function way better on the wing. What a nightmare!
