The Brazilian will stay in Paris until 2025
One down one more to go. PSG have officially announced today that Brazilian international Neymar Jr. has signed a new contract extension with the club. PSG’s number 10 will stay in the City of Lights for another three years, until 2025. Neymar was in the final year of his contract, having signed a five-year deal on his initial arrival. Now, the Parisians will have to tie up another key player – Kylian Mbappe. The French forward is also at the crossroads and PSG will be forced to sell him this June if he doesn’t want to commit. And Mbappe is taking his time, since he knows that Real Madrid are keen to bring him and Zinedine Zidane is one of his idols.

After signing a contract extension with PSG, Neymar has all but gave up on his wish to play again with Lionel Messi again. The only option left for the Brazilian now is that the Argentinian will leave Kamp Nou at the end of the season and join him in Paris, which is unlikely.
„I’m really pleased to continue my adventure at Paris Saint-Germain. I’m very happy in Paris, and proud to be part of this squad, to work with these players, a great coach and to be part of the history of this club. These are things that make me believe even more in this great project. I have grown as a person here, as a human being and as a player, too. So I am very happy to extend my contract and I hope to win many more trophies here" said Neymar to the club website after signing contract extension.

His current coach, the Argentinian Mauricio Pochettino was also happy for the Brazilian.
"The whole PSG family is happy with the extension of a player like Neymar . We are all happy. The challenge for our players, with all the talent that we have is to behave as a team and to put their talent at the service of the team. This individual potential can improve the team. The club's ambition is there and Neymar's signing also shows that ambition. It shows the club's ambition for the present and the future“ said Pochettino.
Neymar has won 9 trophies so far with the Parisians: three Ligue 1 titles (2018, 2019 & 2020), two Coupes de France (2018 & 2020), two Coupes de la Ligue (2018, & 2020) and two Trophees des Champions (2018 & 2020). The attacker also played a key role in Paris Saint-Germain’s run to the club’s first ever Champions League final in 2020, the year of the club’s 50th anniversary.
Since joining the club in 2017, Brazilian international has become one of the most popular club players. With 85 goals and 51 assists in his 112 games for the club, PSG’s number 10 is currently among top ten scorers in the club's history.
