The Spanish tactician leads a fully convinced Paris Saint-Germain into a defining clash with Bayern Munich (10 pm)

There is no hesitation, no doubt, no inferiority complex. Under Luis Enrique, Paris Saint-Germain arrive at another UEFA Champions League semi-final convinced they belong at the very top - and ready to prove it again.

On the eve of a heavyweight clash with Bayern Munich at the Parc des Princes, the PSG boss set the tone with quiet authority rather than empty bravado.

"As a team, we're up there. No one is better than us," he said. A statement that speaks volumes about the transformation he has overseen in Paris.

And yet, there is nuance behind the confidence. Luis Enrique openly acknowledged Bayern's relentless consistency, placing the German giants just a shade ahead in that regard. But when it comes to raw quality, cohesion, and belief, PSG no longer feel second to anyone.

It's a mindset shift, and perhaps the most telling sign of how far this team has come.

Last season's triumph in Europe felt like a release, the weight of expectation finally lifted. This time, it's different. This time, it's about legacy.

"Now it's about making history," Luis Enrique insisted. "We're hungry. We want more. We can still improve."

That hunger has become PSG's defining trait. Since his arrival in 2023, the Spaniard has turned consistency into a habit - guiding the club to at least the semi-finals every single season, while reshaping their identity from a collection of stars into a true team.

And crucially, he has almost everyone available for the biggest stage.

Aside from academy youngster Quentin Ndjantou, PSG are at full strength, a luxury at this point in the campaign. But strength brings selection dilemmas.

In attack, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembele are certain starters, leaving one spot up for grabs. The nod is expected to go to Desire Doue ahead of Bradley Barcola, a bold call that reflects Luis Enrique's trust in youth and dynamism.

In midfield, the return of Fabian Ruiz has added further competition, but Warren Zaire-Emery is still expected to keep his place, another symbol of the new PSG: fearless, energetic, and built for nights like this.

Luis Enrique knows exactly what awaits. Bayern, battle-hardened and relentless. A semi-final balanced on the finest margins. A stage where reputations are made - or broken.

But PSG are no longer chasing validation. They believe they are already among the elite. Now, they want to prove they are the best.
