Supporters of the Turkish side Trabzonspor were thrilled once they heard there's a chance of Alexander Sorloth's return to the club. So they tried to push the deal. That's the moment things went wrong...

You probably won't find many more passionate fans in the world than Turks. But that stick has two ends, and, sometimes, things can get pretty nasty.

Just ask Norwegian striker Alexander Sorloth, currently in RB Leipzig, with a possibility of joining the Turkish side Trabzonspor on a long-term deal. He already featured for them on loan from Crystal Palace during the 2019/2020 season and was clinical with an impressive 24 goals in 34 appearances.

So now, when a rumour of his possible return to Turkey was spread among Trabzonspor fans, it lit a fuse - in less than 24 hours, the 25-year-old forward received more than 3,200,000 messages on Instagram persuading him to join Trabzon! Yes, Turkish fans broke the world record for the most comments on a footballers post in the history of Instagram!

However, it backlashed heavily for them since Sorloth, like most of the Scandinavians, is not so temperamental at all. He responded on Twitter (where millions of messages also spammed him) blatantly clear:

"Hi Trabzonspor fans, I appreciate your love and support, but please stop calling and sending me messages. It makes my life very stressful. Enough is enough."

It's early to say where Sorloth will continue his career, but we are pretty sure he'll avoid Turkey for sure. After this harassment, it's probably the wisest choice for him.
