Arsenal keeper was nowhere near stopping any of those five Manchester United penalties, which triggered a mockery on social media
David Raya is an incredible keeper and has proved that on numerous occasions. However, that display of his in the penalty shootout against Manchester United on Sunday will go down in history as probably one of the worst penalty performances ever.
The Spanish custodian, of course, is not the only responsible for the FA Cup exit. His teammates are to blame for not winning the game in the regular time, especially Martin Odegaard, whose effort from the spot was saved by Raya's mesmerizing counterpart Altay Bayindir.
Still, it needs to be said that Arsenal's first-choice keeper was below par in the penalty contest. Not only he failed to deny at least a single effort, but Raya was nowhere near a save, guessing it wrong on every occasion.
That display of his caused an avalanche of mockery on social media, as Manchester United fans - but not just them - made fun of Raya's shootout outing.
