NSL: Murang'a Seal-Gogo clash called off as Mara, Coastal Heroes win

The National Super League match between Murang'a Seal and Darajani Gogo that was set to be played at St Sebastian Park on Sunday afternoon did not take place after the home team failed to provide a well-equipped ambulance.

In a statement, the visiting team confirmed that the match had indeed been called off on the grounds of a missing equipped ambulance.

The match was a chance for Murang'a Seal to move to within a point of league leaders Shabana FC who lost in their match against Gusii FC on Saturday, but the repercussions of their failure to provide an ambulance could be dire.

Mara Sugar 3-1 Silibwet

In one of the other two matches played on Sunday, Mara Sugar milled Silibwet FC as they beat them 3-1 at the Awendo Green Stadium to keep up with the chasing team.

Silibwet took an early lead after just nine minutes through Laktano Kiprotich but Philemon Nyakwaka struck 31 minutes in the game to draw the hosts level.

Nyakwaka gave the Francis Xavier-coached side the lead for the first time in the game four minutes after the leveler, with Mohamed Barasa scoring the third goal two minutes after the hour mark.

At the Mbaraki Sports Club, Coastal Heroes picked their fifth win of the season as they saw off the visiting MCF with a 2-0 victory to move to seventh on the log.

Ramadhan Mwanzia opened the scoring for Coastal Heroes after just 15 minutes with Salim Ramadhan sealing the win for the host in the 67th minute.
