At the Mbaraki Sports Club, Mombasa United bounced back from last weekend’s defeat to 3K FC with a crucial 1-0 win over Naivas FC

Soy United recorded their first win of the 2025/2026 National Super League campaign after edging Luanda Villa 1-0 in a match played on Wednesday, 29 October, at the ASK Eldoret Showgrounds.

Alfred Ratolo, the man whose strike sealed their promotion to the second tier, came to the rescue, finishing off a fine team move in the 54th minute after a clever pass from Harrison Mwandike to hand the hosts their maiden league victory.

Under the guidance of Jeffers Odongo, the Blue Eagles came into the game desperate for the first win of the season after a barren draw against Kisumu All Stars over the weekend.

Ratolo, lively from the onset, constantly troubled, Jairus Nato and Paul Munala at, Villa’s heart of the defence and came close in the 28th minute with a cheeky touch that narrowly missed the target.

Despite a late push from Villa, Soy held firm to secure all three points.

After the final whistle, Villa lamented the poor state of the pitch, which they likened it to a maize plantation.

The victory lifted Soy United to 13th place on four points, while Villa dropped a step down the table.

Mombasa United 1-0 Naivas FC

At the Mbaraki Sports Club, Mombasa United bounced back from last weekend’s defeat to 3K FC with a crucial 1-0 win over Naivas FC.

FIdel Madiela’s second goal of the season proved decisive in the 76th minute.

The former Luanda Villa man reacted fastest to a loose ball inside the box following a melee, smashing home past Elix Otieno to seal the win.

The result propelled Mombasa United to second place on 13 points, while handing Naivas their first defeat of the season, dropping them to third with 10 points.

Migori Youth 1-1 3K FC

At Awendo Green Stadium, Migori Youth were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting 3K FC.

Former Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA) forward Syphas Otieno opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Kelly Collins was brought down in the area.

However, 3K substitute Sellasie Otieno, equalised late in the game, tapping in from close range after Oscar Juma dribbled past the Migori defence and laid the ball to him.

The result keeps Migori Youth at the summit of the table with 14 points while 3K remain fifth with eight points.

Meanwhile, at Kianyaga Grounds, Fortune Sacco played out a 1-1 draw against Mully Children’s Family (MCF).

Collins Mwangi scored for Fortune Sacco while Erick Michubu replied for the visitors.

At Ruaraka Grounds, Gucha Stars and FC Talanta battled to a goalless draw, while at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Kisumu, Vihiga United and Kisumu All Stars also settled for a 0-0 stalemate.
