Mwatate have a date with MCF at Wundanyi

Murang’a Seal will be seeking to move joint top of the National Super League (NSL) table when they face Mara Sugar at the Awendo Green Stadium.

Seal are currently placed second with 54 points, three off league leaders Shabana who are not in action this weekend.

The Vincent Nyaberi-coached side will scale to the top if they manage to lick Mara Sugar as their goal difference is superior to that of Shabana.

Seal have been on incredible form in the last four matches where they have bagged victories in a convincing manner.

The team has conceded a goal in the last four outings and will hope to win and keep a cleansheet at Awendo despite being a tough hunting ground for visitors.

Mara are ranked fourth with 43 points and should they disarm the seals, the Narok based club will move to a point within the reach of the playoff slot.

The Francis Xavier coached side has bagged maximum points in the last two matches against MCF and debutants Darajani Gogo.

Meanwhile, Mwatate are scheduled to host MCF at the Wudanyi grounds in the other second tier game set up for the day.

Mwatate reportedly sent home the entire technical bench in the course of the week under unclear circumstances and it will be interesting to see who succeeds Mark Asa.

They host MCF who are ranked ninth with 33 points. Mwatate are placed 13th with 23 points against their name.
