The former Shabana head coach will be assisted by Godfrey Naibei as his assistant coach on the team’s technical bench
National Super League side Mara Sugar have confirmed Vincent Nyaberi as their new head coach.
The communication was made by the club on Monday afternoon but didn’t indicate the length of his contract.
He also led the team in the day's training session at the Shankoe training ground.
Nyaberi, whose recent job was with FKF Premier League side Murang’a Seal, comes in to fill the void that was left last month when outgoing head coach Francis Xavier rendered his resignation for an assistant coaching role at Sofapaka FC.
The club over the past few weeks has been involved in a managerial hunt that involved over twenty made applications.
After the process, according to Mara Sugar’s team manager Thomas Moboya, Nyaberi emerged as the best pick for the organization.
His immediate task will be to lead the 2020-2021 FKF Division One champions to the top tier league in the country.
The CAF B holder, who also at some point served as Shabana FC head coach, will be assisted by Godfrey Naibei as his assistant coach on the team’s technical bench.
The duo’s first match will be at home against Mombasa Elite on 12 November 2023.
The Millers are third on 2023-2024 NSL log with 14 points from the first eight matches played this season.
