The Soldiers remain 14th on the log with a risk of dropping to 15th if Nzoia Sugar beat Vihiga Bullets on Sunday

Ulinzi Stars head coach Benjamin Nyangweso says the team has shifted focus to the team's next Football Kenya Federation Premier League assignment next weekend against Nairobi City Stars.

The Soldiers were humiliated by Kakamega Homeboyz on Saturday, losing 4-0 as league action resumed after a two-week break with the tormentors advancing their title charge as Ulinzi remain in unfamiliar territories.

Speaking after the match, the tactician revealed that his side will now embark on reviewing what transpired against Kakamega Homeboyz in an attempt to avert the situation and return to winning ways when they come up against Simba wa Nairobi next weekend

"We play City Stars in our next outing. Every game has its own approach and planning so we will review our game against Homeboyz and see where we went wrong and rectify it before we meet our next opponent. My squad is good enough, we were just caught off guard. They got their chances, and they utilized them very well, we are not as badly off," Nyangweso said.

The four-time champions will be hoping that they will have any of their first two goalkeeping options ready for their next match, with the return of Stephen Ochieng' to the bench against Kakamega Homeboyz being a positive indicator.

Ulinzi Stars started the season on a high, and even topped the table at some point but have since plummeted to sit dangerously just above the relegation zone with just 10 matches left to play.
