MCF have endured back-to-back defeats to Naivas FC and Fortune Sacco, leaving them bottom of the 20-team table.
The National Super League (NSL) enters its final day of week three action today, with five thrilling fixtures lined up to wrap up the round.
The highlight of Sunday’s matches will be the Nyanza derby, pitting Migori Youth against Kisumu All Stars at the Awendo Green Stadium.

Migori Youth will be looking to extend their fine start to the season, having amassed six points from their opening two matches.
The Migori-based outfit has registered back-to-back 1–0 victories over Mwatate United and FC Talanta, marking a dream start under coach Samuel Otulo.
Otulo’s charges, however, face a stern test against a familiar opponent in All Stars, a side that has historically dominated this fixture.
Migori are yet to record a win against their Nyanza rivals, with All Stars boasting six wins and nine draws in the past 15 meetings.
Kisumu All Stars, guided by coach Billy Agai, will be eager to bounce back following their narrow 1–0 defeat to Kibera Black Stars last weekend.
The Kisumu outfit will be banking on their strong record in this fixture to reignite their campaign and regain confidence after a slow start.
Last season, All Stars claimed a 2–0 victory in the first leg before settling for a draw in the return fixture, setting the stage for another tightly contested derby.
At Hope Centre in Kawangware, Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA) will be hoping to continue their impressive run when they face Kibera Black Stars.
The Homa Bay-based side has enjoyed a perfect start, claiming consecutive 1–0 victories, first against Nairobi City Stars and later against Vihiga United.
Coach Charles Bruno will be aiming for a third straight win to keep his promotion ambitions alive in just their second season in the second tier.
However, MOFA will be wary of a rejuvenated Black Stars outfit that picked up their first win of the campaign last weekend against Kisumu All Stars.
This will be the third meeting between the two sides. MOFA remain unbeaten in the fixture, having secured four points from last season’s encounters; a 2–1 win followed by a goalless draw in the return match.
Over at Kirinyaga Stadium in Kerugoya, Fortune Sacco will be desperate to turn around their poor start when they host Nzoia Sugar.
The microfinance-backed side has endured a difficult opening to the campaign, suffering defeats to Naivas FC at home and Mombasa United away.
A win today would mark their first three points of the season and lift them away from the lower reaches of the table.
Their opponents, Nzoia Sugar, coached by Charles Odero, will also be eager to make amends after squandering a two-goal lead in a 2–2 draw with Mwatate United last weekend.
A win for the Sudi-based side would take them to seven points, just two shy of league leaders Mombasa United.
At Thika Stadium, league newcomers Kabati Youth will seek their maiden victory of the season when they host Nairobi City Stars.
Kabati began their campaign with a 1–1 draw against Vihiga United before succumbing to a 3–1 defeat to Equity FC last weekend.
Head coach Joe Mungai will be keen to inspire his youthful side to a statement win against one of the league’s more seasoned opponents.
City Stars, relegated from the FKF Premier League last season, have had a mixed start under coach Salim Babu. After losing their opener to MOFA, they bounced back with a 1–0 win over Luanda Villa.
The experienced Kawangware-based outfit will be targeting a second straight win to move up to six point, three behind leaders Mombasa United as they push for an immediate top-flight return.
In Wundanyi, winless sides Mwatate United and Mully Children’s Family (MCF) will both be hunting for their first victory of the campaign.
Mwatate opened with a narrow loss to Migori Youth before staging a remarkable comeback to draw 2–2 with Nzoia Sugar last weekend.
Meanwhile, MCF have endured back-to-back defeats to Naivas FC and Fortune Sacco, leaving them bottom of the 20-team table.
With both sides desperate for a turnaround, coach Vincent Nyaberi’s MCF will aim to spark a revival, while Mwatate hope to capitalize on home advantage to secure maximum points and move closer to the leading pack.
