Military side Ulinzi Starlets will welcome Kisumu-based Kisped Queens for a duel at the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Lang’ata from 1100 hrs.

Ulinzi head into the match on the back of a goalless draw against Kibera Soccer Women in their season opener and will therefore be hunting for their first win of the campaign.

The Collins Ochieng-coached side are determined to clinch the league title this season after a spirited run last term saw them finish second on the log.

Kisped, on the other hand, suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of varsity side Zetech Sparks on opening day and will be keen to squeeze at least a point in their second successive away game of the season.

They will also be looking to overturn their poor record against Ulinzi, which includes a 1-0 home defeat when the two sides last met in February.

The other match of the day will see Kisumu Allstarlets host Madira Soccer Assassins at the Moi Stadium, Kisumu, from 1300 hrs.

The hosts head into the match on the back of a heavy 4-2 defeat to Trinity Starlets in their season opener and will be banking on home advantage to secure their first win of the season.

Allstarlets, who finished just above the relegation places last season, will be hoping for an improved campaign this time round, away from the struggles of the drop zone.

Madira, on the other hand, had a dream return to top-flight football, securing a 2-0 victory over league newcomers Gideon Starlets.

The Vihiga-based side will be hoping to build on that win as they make the short trip to the lakeside city of Kisumu.
