Nzoia eager to end eight-game winless run against Bidco

League strugglers Nzoia Sugar are the only side yet to win a game since the restart of football back in May but will be looking to end their torrid run when they take on Bidco United in Nakuru this afternoon

The Millers have endured a pathetic run that have seen them yet to taste victory in the last eight games and have lost their last four matches, heaping pressure on head coach Ibrahim Shikanda.

Speaking to Mozzart Sport, the team's goalkeeper Humphrey Katasi is hoping that the team can capitalize on the numerous chances they create to stop the rot.

“We are hoping to get a win because we have prepared well and it’s not like we have been performing poorly, it’s just that the results have not been our side. We have been focusing on scoring because we have not scored in the last couple of games but we have been creating a number of chances,” said Katasi.

Bidco United are fresh from finishing as the second runners up in the club concluded FKF Cup after edging Equity FC by a single goal courtesy of a goal from Kassim Mwinyi.

Veteran Peter Nzuki is hoping that the team can build on the cup win and turn their many stalemates into wins after drawing the joint second highest games, nine.

“Our focus is taking the three points because we have not been collecting maximum points but at the same time we have been drawing a number of games so we want to take a step ahead,”

“The win over Equity in the FKF Cup third-place playoffs has boosted our confidence that shows that we are a side that is growing and it gives us confidence ahead of the Nozia clash,” said Nzuki.

The two teams have only faced each other once in the league with a 1-1 draw being registered in the first leg.
