Prior to their 1-1 draw against Gor, KCB had beaten Kakamega Homeboyz 2-0 and had also played Bandari to a barren draw.
KCB assistant captain Brian Ochieng is confident that the team will have a fruitful season despite struggling with consistency in the opening rounds.
The bankers haven’t had the best takeoff this season, as they have won twice, drawn twice, and lost once.
The Bernard Mwalala-coached side has scored a paltry five goals and conceded three, underlying their struggle to post positive results consistently early in the season.
Ochieng is, however, sure that the team will overcome the rather slow start and achieve their plans for the season.
Despite their financial might, KCB are still waiting for their first major title in recent times.
“We are taking a game at a time, and the players are bonding well. I am certain we will have a good season,” said the defensive midfielder while calling for patience following the sluggish start.
With KCB set to face Muhoroni Youth on Monday at the Muhoroni Stadium, Ochieng said the team was ready to bag maximum points despite the home side proving themselves a hard nut to crack while playing in front of home fans.
Muhoroni have turned their backyard into a fortress, as the Charles Odera-coached side rarely loses matches at their facility.
However, Ochieng is self-assured of skippering the side to register the third win of the season.
The former FC Talanta midfielder said the team’s confidence levels had shot up after managing a favorable result in their last game against record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia.
Prior to their 1-1 draw against Gor, KCB had beaten Kakamega Homeboyz 2-0 and had also played Bandari to a barren draw.
“Our past matches have been tough, but we managed to get points. Those matches have given us the belief that we are progressing well,” he stated.
