The Dockers enter the game just a point behind their red-hot hosts Shabana

Bandari head coach Ken Odhiambo has told his players to “enjoy the music” of playing in a packed stadium on Sunday, when they come up against Shabana in Gusii.

Odhiambo’s side enter the 1400 EAT kickoff just a point behind high-flying Shabana, who are unbeaten in their last five league matches.

Bandari, on the other hand, have had an underwhelming campaign thus far, and only registered their first league victory since early February last weekend, when they beat sorry Ulinzi 2-1.

Utilizing opportunities is top on Odhiambo’s agenda, should the Dockers pick maximum points from Shabana, a team they have not lost to in the topflight since their promotion.

“I want my players to focus on making the most of the chances we get,” Odhiambo told Citizen Digital on Friday.

“If we can be more clinical in front of goal, we will definitely improve our results.”

Playing in a partisan Gusii Stadium is something Odhiambo also wants his side to embrace.

“We must see a different Bandari because we are going to a hostile ground with so many fans,” he warned.

“But it's good for us to have a good play, and normally you don't enjoy going to an empty dance floor, you need many people to enjoy the music,” he added.

The former Harambee Stars assistant coach also spoke in glowing terms about forward Beja Nyamawi, who is now on 11 goals this season.

“Beja has been outstanding this season,” Odhiambo said. “He has the ability to score even more, which is why we've positioned him on the wing where his sharpness shines. I'm confident he'll score more goals before the season ends.”
