Moreover, the Spanish FA has threatened to get itself axed from UEFA if their boss Rubiales is forced out as president by their government
From a thrilling World Cup triumph and glory over a scandal during the celebration all the way to a ludicrous epilogue in prospect in less than ten days.
That's the story of Spanish football and their FA boss Luis Rubiales, whose indecent behaviour still makes headlines. And, obviously, it won't change any time soon. According to the latest bizarre information, the mother of Spain's football chief has locked herself in a church in southern part of the country and declared a hunger strike!?
In a desperate attempt to defend her son, Angeles Bejar locked herself in the Divina Pastora church in Motril, southern Spain, and declared a hunger strike.
She won't stop until the authorities find a solution to the "inhuman and bloody hunt they are conducting against my son with something he doesn't deserve".
Rubiales's mother told the Spanish news agency EFE that she would remain in the church "day and night" and on strike "indefinitely" until justice is done for her son.
Luis Rubiales' mother has asked Jenni Hermoso to "tell the truth" and "maintain the version she had at the beginning of the incident".
Meanwhile, the Spanish FA bosses have "threatened to get themselves axed from UEFA" if Rubiales is forced out as president by their government, according to reports.
This would see the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona left unable to play in the Champions League as an UEFA competition.
