The Isiolo based team has roped in a number of arsenals to bolster their squad following the exit of some of their experienced senior players

Football Kenya Federation Division One outfit Olympic Pirates president Anthony Lolokuru believes that they can easily sail to the National Super League (NSL) if they nail down a club partner.

Pirates were promoted to the third tier last season and managed to fight for league survival on their first time of asking, though the club boss believes they could have done better if they had a stable financial backing.

Pirates had to survive from hand to mouth last season with the help of some well wishers which may have had an impact on the team's performance.

"We had to dwell with well wishers last season and made it tough for us to achieve the targets set at the start of the campaign, but with a stable backing I believe the team will post encouraging results," he said.

In an interview with Mozzart Sport, the experienced administrator remained confident the club was going to perfect last season’s run and even mount a significant challenge for National Super League promotion going by the intensified preparation the club had during the preseason.

"We have been working really hard during our training sessions to ensure that we are fully prepared for the upcoming campaign. The team is focused, determined and ready to give their best on the field," he explained.

In line with the team's ambitions and targets for the upcoming campaign, the Isiolo based team has roped in a number of arsenals to bolster their squad following the exit of some of their experienced senior players.

Some of the players joining the third tier outfit are; left back Brian Kiplangat from Zoo FC, Marafiki duo of Kirui Nic and Peter Ngugi Meddy and Malindi Progressive duo of goalkeeper Sudi Nahamso and defender Benard Okumu.

Others are winger Harrison Kulalu, Benard Evans Omollo, Makale Rahman and Sharamo Abdi. The club is also expected to hand over the reins to Vihiga United coach Samuel Twago.

Furthermore, long serving player and Pirates captain Saica Ramano and Albert Owino have all left the club and inked a deals with fourth tier side Nabore FC from Samburu.

Pirates boss Lolokuru called on fans to throng the stadium this season in support of the team as they seek elevation to the second tier league.

"We deeply value the support and love from our fans. We understand that you expect nothing but excellence from us. We are committed to make you proud as you support us from the stands, together we achieve our ultimate goal of gracing NSL. Let's unite, cheer our team on and make this season a memorable one," he concluded.
