Oruchum collects clean sheet with Namungo in Tanzania

The defender put in a good shift as Namungo were victorious.
Former Tusker FC defender Christopher Oruchum registered a clean sheet as his Namungo side edged Ruvu Shooting 1-0 in a Tanzania Premier League clash.
The center-back was handed a start at the heart of defense as he partnered with Emmanuel Asante with this being his second consecutive start after missing the game against Mtibwa Sugar.

Namungo had a bright start to the game but they failed to capitalize on their early dominance as Ruvu Shooting found their footing as the game went by.
The deadlock was finally broken in the 42nd minute when Ibrahim Mkoko floated in an inch-perfect cross that was headed in by Pius Buswita at the second attempt.
Namungo went into the half-time break with a slender 1-0 lead courtesy of a brilliant save from Deogratius Munish to keep Ruvu Shooting’s Rashid Juma from a free kick just outside the box.

In the second half, Namungo had a number of chances to win the game including a gilt edge chance by Jacob Masawe who beat the keeper but was denied by the post in the 70th minute.
Namungo however were able to successfully hang on to the 1-0 lead until the final whistle as they moved to fifth on the log with the victory.
