RMC Sport reports that the Parisians have imposed a two-week suspension for his unauthorized trip

Lionel Messi has been suspended by PSG for two weeks after making a sudden trip to Saudi Arabia without the club's permision!

The Saints have decided to punish the Argentine with a two-week suspension. The Argentina World Cup winner is banned from playing or training with the team, and his pay will be docked during his suspension, the report added.

The sanction, taken this Tuesday evening, takes effect immediately. The club has considered everything for what is described as 'a serious mistake'. PSG initiated this classic disciplinary procedure following an employee's absence without any authorization.

As per RMC, no further comment will be made from the club, but, apparently, the teammates said to have been left shocked.

Messi is out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the current season, with a number of clubs interested in moving for the veteran. There is interest from Saudi Arabia and the United States, while former club Barcelona are also keen to bring him back to Camp Nou.
