Despite still struggling with injuries, Luis Enrique’s men face a must-win match tonight against Le Havre if they want to return to first place
With a Champions League showdown against Tottenham looming on Wednesday, PSG are still trying to steady themselves and adjust to life without several of their most important players. The process continues this Saturday in Ligue 1, where they face Le Havre.

For much of the season, the European champions had been relatively untouched by injuries. That luck has now run out, and the squad must adapt from one match to the next. Four major names are currently missing: Ousmane Dembele (calf), Achraf Hakimi (ankle sprain), and Nuno Mendes (knee sprain) — all sidelined during the 2–1 loss to Bayern Munich on November 5 — as well as Desire Doue (thigh). The midfield is the only department still fully intact, giving Luis Enrique a rare area of stability, though he is expected to rotate after the international break.
The two-week pause helped PSG more than it hurt: no new injuries during international duty, and the recovery process has gone smoothly for those previously sidelined. Left-back Nuno Mendes even returned to training on Thursday, as shown in club-released footage. Despite long spells without Dembele and Doue — now out for six weeks — PSG have remained top of Ligue 1, two points clear of Marseille and Lens.

The depth of the squad is helping. Warren Zaire-Emery can fill in at right-back, Lucas Hernandez covers the left, and Lee Kang-in continues to offer solutions in attack. Luis Enrique remains unfazed by the situation.
“Every difficulty is a chance for players who haven’t played much to step forward and for us to show our collective strength,” he said before the narrow 3–2 win over Lyon ahead of the winter break. He added that the club is “calm,” monitoring the transfer market without urgency.
🚨🎙️| Luis Enrique: “I’m a bit worried because I hear so much noise around the team and there are a lots of individual awards. But this is a team sport. We have to get the right mentality and work hard as a team, so I’m not interested in individual awards.”

On Saturday at the Parc des Princes (23.05), facing 12th-placed Le Havre, several academy products — Quentin Ndjantou, Ibrahim Mbaye, Noham Kamara, and Senny Mayulu — are expected to see increased minutes as PSG leans on its young talents to carry them through this demanding stretch.
