Real is 'stealing' Nagelsmann from the Germans

According to the latest reports from BIld, Madrid wants former Bayern coach to succeed Ancelotti

At first, there were only rumours about such a possibility. The unreliable media speculated, referring to their 'unnamed sources'. However, since the Brazilians announced that their national team will be taken over by Carlo Ancelotti next summer, the competition for a new Real coach has officially opened, and one of the experts who figures to succeed the legendary Italian expert is Julian Nagelsmann! There is no longer any doubt about that. The name of the young German coach has been in focus in recent days as his football federation is looking for a new coach. Nagelsmann found himself in the narrowest circle of favourites (along with Louis van Gaal, Oliver Glazner, and Matthias Sommer), but until yesterday, his still valid contract with Bayern (until 2026) appeared as a serious sticking point. Now, since they announced from Munich and said that they would have nothing against letting Nagelsmann go to the national team without compensation (if an agreement was reached with him regarding personal conditions), the 36-year-old strategist has become the absolute favourite of the DFB.

Realizing the seriousness of the situation and the real danger of losing one of the main candidates for the bench, Real reportedly engaged more concretely in the last 48 hours and took certain steps to dissuade Julian Nagelsmann from being involved in the German national team. Allegedly, Madrid even contacted Bayern, proposing to take over half of his income immediately, all in order to speed up negotiations and get into pole position. Bild is reporting that in recent weeks, the names of several coaches who could succeed Ancelotti have appeared in the media. Most often, it was Xabi Alonso from Leverkusen, then the club icon Raul, currently the coach of the young team. But it seems that Julian Nagelsmann is at the very top of the list of candidates. It is also a well-known fact that Nagelsmann's career is being taken care of by another agency that also represents Toni Kroos. Therefore, a direct connection with the management of Real would not be a problem and probably already exists. Now it is clear: a club like Real Madrid would be a serious competitor to the DFB in the race for a talented specialist".

It should be remembered that Nagelsmann, as coach of Hoffenheim, conducted some kind of negotiations with the Madrid giant. Then Madrid took an interest in him and demanded that he present some of his ideas, what his Real would look like if he got a chance. Although he was only 32 years old at the time, the German thought very maturely. Nagelsmann was also rejected by Bayern before coming to Leipzig. Admittedly, in Munich, they offered him to start working with a young team. He refused, but they still came for him again and even made him the most expensive coach, as they paid Red Bull as much as 25,000,000 in compensation. Now Real is coming back. Understandably, if he decides to go to Madrid, Julian Nagelsmann would have to wait until next summer to return to work, i.e. until the departure of Carlo Ancelotti.
