For last couple of years Manchester City has had the most expensive squad in the world. Looking at their reinforcements and the money Cityzens splash for them - it was no wonder. However, after Kylian Mbappe joined Real Madrid everyone thought Los Blancos would take over the primacy, given that France captain is worth around 180 million euros according to Transfermarkt. Adding youngsters like Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior to the equation really makes you think there's no more expensive squad than Real's.

Nevertheless, surprisingly or not, Man City is still in the first spot. According to Marca, the Spanish side's team is worth around 1.28 billion euros, whereas the Cityzens' roster is valued at approximately 100 million more. The biggest difference is in the defensive line, given that City's defenders are worth almost 2.5 times more than Real's. On the other hand, Los Blancos have a more valuable midfield, mainly thanks to Jude Bellingham. Even with Mbappe in Madrid, the English club's forwards are worth around 100 million euros more, primarily thanks to Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, and the Belgian Jeremy Doku. Finally, regarding goalkeepers, Real has a slight advantage of less than 10 million euros.

Nevertheless, even though the English champions' squad is worth more, Los Blancos have as many as seven players whose price surpasses 100 million euros, whereas Pep Guardiola's team includes only three - Haaland, Rodri and Foden. On top of that, Real has three players worth 180 million euros as per Transfermarkt - Bellingham, Mbappe and Vinicius.

The English and Spanish champions hold the first two positions regarding the clubs with the most expensive rosters, while Arsenal is in third place. Four more English sides are among the first 10: Chelsea (4th), Liverpool (7th), Tottenham (9th), and Man United (10th). Paris Saint-Germain in fifth, Bayern Munich in sixth, and Barcelona in eighth spot complete the list.
