
Red hot Ryan Ogam secures victory for Tusker against Nairobi City Stars

Tusker FC once again reaped returns from the investment made in Ryan Ogam who was on target as the Brewers downed Nairobi City Stars 1-0 at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
The 12-time league champions acquired Ogam's signature in the off-season transfer window and despite his lack of top-flight experience, the player has so far proven himself as one of the best signings in the window.
Signed as a defensive midfielder, Ogam has adapted well to his new role as a striker with his goal against City Stars being his sixth of the season.
Ogam joined the Ruaraka-based club from former and defunct National Super League side Rainbow FC.
The goal saw the youngster catch up with red-hot KCB forward Francis Kahiro, who has six goals against his name from nine rounds.
The incredible starts the duo have had in the season saw them secure places in the Harambee Stars squad for the 2025 CHAN qualifiers against South Sudan.
After a goalless half, Ogam gave Tusker the lead in the 62nd minute, connecting the ball from Shaphan Siwa, who is also on top of hos game this campaign.
Siwa, one of the most versatile midfieldesrs at Tusker, also registered his sixth assist of the season.
Following the win, Tusker, who have three wins so far in the campaign, moved to the top five bracket, pending the outcome of the other Saturday results.
While coach Charles Okere and Tusker had something to celebrate about, his opposite number Leonard Odipo will certainly be worried as the results saw City Stars register their fourth loss of the season.
Simba wa Nairobi and Kakamega Homeboyz hace had turbulent starts in the campaign as the two sides have lost four matches, so far in the season.
Prior to Saturday's clash, City Stars were brimming in confidence as they had beaten Gor Mahia 2-1 in their previous matches.
The Kawangware-based club will hope to redeem themselves when they face the 2008 league winners Mathare United in their next game.
