Roma's wolf pack doesn't spare anyone! Empoli become the latest victim

Reading Time: 2min | Mon. 10.03.25. | 00:11

The Giallorossi noted their sixth consecutive win thanks to Matias Soule's goal after only 21 seconds - 1-0

The Wolfess has been struggling for long this season, but once it started biting, no one is spared! The most deserving of this "rennaisance" at Stadio Olimpico is, of course, one and only Claudio Ranieri, who completely changed this team's fortunes.

Today, Roma's "victim" were Empoli, which fell in Tuscany 1-0 behind Matias Soule's first-minute winner. It took only 21 seconds to the Argentinian to break the deadlock (?!), as the visitors exploited Empoli's Lorenzo Colombo's error.

Afterwards, the crew from the Italian capital skilfully defended the advantage, though the home team was close to levelling in the dying minutes, when Christian Kouame had a chance. On the other hand, Roma could have sealed the deal much earlier, but this Sunday wasn't Artem Dovbyk's day, while Manu Kone and Eldor Shomurodov both hit the woodwork.

Yet, most importantly for the Romans is that they noted another triumph and got even closer to a place which leads to European competitions, while Ranieri managed to rest some key players for next Thursday and the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 return leg against Athletic Bilbao in Spain.
