According to the British press, Leicester City is seriously considering the Dutch tactician as a replacement for Steve Cooper

That would be some return!

Less than 20 days after his final game as Manchester United's interim manager, Ruud van Nistelrooy could be on his way back to the Premier League.

As per several British media, the Dutchman is one of leading contenders for the role of Leicester City's boss. Apparently, the Foxes' executives were impressed by the job Van Nistelrooy did at Old Trafford at such short period, and believe he could be a perfect replacement for Steve Cooper, who was shown the exit doors after a 2-1 home loss to Chelsea on Saturday.

The other candidate to join Leicester is Graham Potter, who is without job ever since finishing his Chelsea stint back in April 2023.

On the other hand, reports suggest that HSV are also interested in Van Nistelrooy.

Following his Old Trafford departure two weeks ago, the Dutchman took to social media to say:

"I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your incredible efforts and support. It has been a privilege and honour to represent the club as a player, coach and manager. And I will always cherish the memories we have shared together."
