Cesc Fabregas gives by far the least playing time to the domestic players in all of Italy, and very likely in the whole football world
Como are the most pleasant surprise in the Serie A this season and arguably in all of Europe. The club from Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia has returned to Italy's top flight after 21 years and is already running riots.
Cesc Fabregas' crew currently sits in fourth place in the league and bravely fights for the Champions League against much more prestigious and way richer teams like Napoli, Juventus, and Roma.
Throughout the campaign, people have been wondering what Como's secret is. Is it Cesc on the bench and his La Masia, Barcelona, and Arsenal experience? Is it Real Madrid's child Nico Paz or the Greek breakout, Anastasios Douvikas - the duo that combined for 19 goals this season?
Still, the answer may be entirely different, as Como's secret might be a complete lack of playing time for the Italian players.
Namely, Fabregas gives by far the fewest minutes on the pitch to the domestic players, as they clocked only one minute in 29 games I Lariani played in the current Serie A campaign!
To put things into perspective, the first team above Como on the list is Hellas Verona with 4,137 minutes, while Cagliari top the list with 18,868 minutes given to domestic players!
This graphic below shows how many minutes Italian players have played for each Serie A club so far this season.

Truth be told, Fabregas has only two Italians in his roster: the reserve custodian Mauro Vigorito and the defender Edoardo Goldaniga, who clocked the aforementioned minute in the fourth league round against Fiorentina.
Either way, Como fans won't mind this unbelievable phenomenon as long as their team plays the way it has this season.
And if they ultimately pull off a miracle and book their spot in the next edition of the Champions League, the elite competition will see a genuine "foreign legion".
