This comes after confirmation that three of their five previously injured players have been declared fit and cleared to return to action.
Speaking to Mozzart Sport, team manager Elijah Sani revealed that most of the players were only dealing with minor knocks and have since resumed full training.
“I can’t disclose the names, but most of our players are back now and ready for selection,” Sani said.
He also clarified that the club had not issued any official injury updates and urged fans to rely only on information shared through the team’s verified communication channels.
“We’ve seen injury lists circulating online, but the club hasn’t announced anything officially,” he added.
"Our full squad is training, and everyone is involved.”
However, Mozzart Sport understands that Ugandan midfielder Bronson Nsubuga, club captain George Orako, and Harambee Stars striker Austin Odongo have all returned to training and are in contention for Sunday’s match.
Meanwhile, in-form midfielder Brian Michira and winger Mark Oduor remain doubtful for the weekend tie but are expected to be back soon.
The Glamour Boys will be aiming to bounce back after suffering a 2–1 defeat to Posta Rangers in their last outing before the league was temporarily paused.
FKF suspended league action for seven days to observe a mourning period following the death of former Prime Minister and Gor Mahia patron Raila Odinga.
Sunday’s encounter against the Slum Boys offers coach Peter Okidi and his charges a chance to secure their first-ever top-flight victory over Mathare United.
The two sides met twice last season, drawing 0–0 in the first leg before Brian Ouru’s goal handed Mathare United all three points in the reverse fixture.
