William Muluya has bolstered his squad after the departure of 11 players.

Kariobangi Sharks have confirmed their fifth signing of the current transfer window by re-signing Fortune Omoto from Nairobi Stima who suffered relegation from the National Super League (NSL).

Omoto is an astute attacking midfielder who was one of the shining lights in an otherwise dark season for Stima who went from promotion contenders in 2019 to suffering the drop to the Division One.

Sharks took to social media to confirm the signing of Omoto but failed to disclose the length of the contract.

“Fortune Omoto is a Sharkman. The witty attacking midfielder previously featured for our youth team before heading out to Nairobi Stima where He joins from,” read the post from Sharks.

He becomes the fifth signing by William Muluya ahead of the new 2021-2022 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) season.

Omoto who has no relation to Sharks stalwart Patillah Omoto will link up with Enock Wanyama, Ken Kyalo, Ryan Ashiono and Isaac Otieno as the new players at Sharks.

This comes after Sharks parted ways with 11 players after curtains came falling on the 2020-2021 season that saw them end the campaign disastrously, winning once in the last six fixtures.

The departures included James Mazembe who finished as the league’s top assistor, John Kuol, Peter Lwasa, Robert Onyango, Peter Oudu, Ibrahim Ochieng, Ibrahim Kitawi, Daniel Sakari who joined champions Tusker, Boniface Mwangemi, Joseph Onyango and Brain Bwire who followed Sakari to Ruaraka.
