Harambee Starlets head coach Beldine Odemba has announced a 23-player squad for the second leg of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier against Tunisia.

Kenya heads into the match in Tunis aiming for a win after a frustrating 0-0 draw in the first leg at Ulinzi Sports Complex last week, a result that sparked criticism from Kenyan fans.

The decisive fixture, initially slated for Tuesday, will now take place on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 4 pm EAT at Stade Olympique de Sousse in Tunis.

Despite the first-leg setback, Coach Odemba is optimistic about Kenya's chances.

"We played well tactically and utilized our wings, creating several opportunities, but we just couldn't finish them off. We deployed two strikers, and that's something we will review in training. But believe me, this will be a different game. Playing at home and away presents different challenges," Odemba stated.

"We know we are better than Tunisia tactically. We will open up the game because we need to score. We followed our plan, but we need to assess what works and where we can improve."

If the Starlets advance, they will face the winner between Niger and Gambia, bringing them a step closer to securing a spot in the 2026 WAFCON, which would mark their second appearance in a decade.

She has named a balanced squad, blending experience and youth.

Jentrix Shikangwa, whose absence from the starting lineup in the first leg sparked fan criticism, is part of the traveling squad.

The team is set to depart for Tunisia on Monday, 24 February, 2025, in the afternoon.
