Speaking in an exclusive interview with Mozzart Sport on Wednesday, 27 May, the man in the know has confirmed that the 23-year-old’s time at Zambian Super League side Power Dynamos is nearing its end, with a host of African powerhouses interested in landing the forward.

As of Wednesday, 27 May, Mozzart Sport has learned that African three clubs have already submitted formal offers for the former Kakamega Homeboyz man, with another reporting interest.

The three clubs whose offer sheets have been received, ply their trade in the top-tier leagues of South Africa, Tanzania, and Algeria, with a Moroccan side, RS Berkane, only reporting interest.

It is reported that the RS Berkane manager is a fan of Shumah, but that public interest is yet to translate into a tabled offer.

“Shumah is a wanted man, and I can assure you that he will be making a big move in the upcoming transfer window,” the licensed East African football agent said. “It is fair to say that his hugely impressive season in Zambia, and in the CAF Champions League, has drawn in many suitors, and we feel that now is the right time for him to explore new adventures.”

Shumah, who joined Power Dynamos in July last year, enjoyed a breakout season down South, scoring scoring 23 goals in all competitions, a return that last week saw him crowned as the league’s Footballer of the Year, Fans’ Player of the Season, and Top Scorer.

The impressive numbers followed his decent return in Kenya’s FKF Premier League a year ago, when he won the Golden Boot award after scoring 17 goals.

The forward still has a year remaining in his contract, a scenario that will push the agent and the club to push for the best deal.

“There is definitely the money side of it, but we will emphasize on the move that will make the most sense for his career,” Shumah’s agent added. “What I know is that many Kenyans will be surprised when it happens.”
