The Harambee Stars defender clocks an entire 90 minutes in a historic 3-2 turnaround in Novi Sad, ending a 12-year home drought against the Serbian giants
Collins Sichenje had every reason to smile on Thursday night!
The Harambee Stars centre-back produced a colossal performance as Vojvodina came from two goals down to shock Red Star Belgrade 3-2, which was their first home victory over the Serbian giants in 12 years.
The 22-year-old defender played the full 90 minutes, standing out as one of the key figures in what will be remembered as one of Vojvodina's finest wins in recent years. Under Miroslav Tanjga, who took charge in March, Sichenje seems reborn - calmer, more commanding, and more confident than ever.
It's been a rollercoaster season for the Kenyan, who had already been sent off twice - against Novi Pazar and Radnicki 1923 - but Thursday's display proved he has turned a corner. Rock-solid in defence and fearless in duels, Sichenje helped his team weather Red Star's early storm before inspiring an incredible second-half response.

After conceding twice in the opening half, few in Novi Sad believed in a miracle. But Vojvodina roared back after the break with three unanswered goals to seal a 3-2 triumph that sent the stands into delirium.
The victory, Vojvodina's third in a row in the Mozzart Bet Super Liga, lifts them to 27 points - just four behind the joint leaders, Red Star and Partizan. For Sichenje and his teammates, this wasn't just another win, but a statement victory.
