Homeboyz are scheduled to play four-time league winners Ulinzi Stars after the break.

Kakamega Homeboyz winger Ambrose Sifuna will be targeting more goal contributions when the Football Kenya Federation Premier League resumes this weekend.

Before the break that paved the way for international matches, the former Soy United and Sofapaka man had scored twice and bagged three assists in eleven league appearances.

He found the back of the net in their 2-1 win over Tusker and their 5-0 thumping of 2009 league champions Sofapaka.

Sifuna acknowledges that he needs to chip in with more goals if he is to help the club lay hands on the league crown as well as reach his individual target.

The speedy forward tells Mozzart Sport that he has set a target of fifteen league goals and will create as many as he can.

“I am craving more goals and assists. I have my target, which I believe will help the team win the league at the end of the season. I am working on my striking instincts for the time the league is on break,” said Sifuna.

Homeboyz had registered back-to-back wins before the break, courtesy of the 2-0 and 5-0 wins over Muhoroni Youth and Sofapaka, respectively.

The wins saw them scale to the top six bracket with 18 points, four off-log leaders Posta Rangers.

The matches saw budding goalkeeper Ibrahim Wanzala keep clean sheets in his first two starts for the club this season, earning him a call-up to the U18 national team.

Sifuna called on his teammates to strive, pick from where they left off, and maintain the winning run that he believes will last long enough to guarantee them a trophy and medals at the end.

“We have to be consistent and committed throughout so as to deliver the title,” said the former Soy United forward.

Homeboyz are scheduled to play four-time league winners Ulinzi Stars after the break.

Ulinzi will host Homeboyz, looking to bounce back after losing 2-0 and 1-0 to Kenya Police and Bidco United, respectively.
