Juan Mata is almost 38, but still able to deliver some magic. He did it this Saturday for the win in the derby of the Australian top division

Age is just a number, and the class is eternal. Just check out Juan Mata and his latest incredible achievement.

Although his career is slowly approaching its inevitable end, the 37-year-old Spanish magician is still proving he's one of a kind. The former Chelsea and Manchester United star, who won almost every possible trophy in his prime with English giants and the Spanish national team, is currently playing in Australia.

After a season-long stint at Western Sydney Wanderers last year, he moved to Melbourne Victory, another team in the top division (A-League). And this Saturday, Mata scored a brace in his side's 3-1 win over their city rival, Melbourne City (part of the City Football Group).

The opener was truly sensational, as the veteran nailed it from some 30 yards to make it 1-0 with a single touch for the eruption in the stands. Mata added one more in the second half and Melbourne Victory proved their name, making a massive step towards the top of the table. They're currently in joint-third place, six points below the league leaders, Newcastle Jets. And Mata? He's a living legend, no doubt there.
