Sofapaka,on the other hand, were at the bottom of the log with 15 points and on a poor run that included an 18-match winless streak.
Sofapaka last won a league match on 10 November 2025 when they downed Posta Rangers 2-0.
Bandari had a golden opportunity to take the lead in the fifth minute, when teenager Erisat Orute received a pass from William Wadri but saw his effort hit the side netting with the goalkeeper Morgan Sitawa well beaten.
Former AFC Leopards captain, Clifton Miheso, had Sofapaka’s first chance of the half in the 10th minute, but his shot went inches wide to the relief of goalkeeper, Allaine Ngeleka
The flurry of chances continued in the 14th minute when Dancun Otieno took a shot outside the box but Ngeleka was equal to task.
Batoto Ba Mungu, who were controlling the game, had a double opportunity go begging through Eugene Barasa and Joseph Kuloba whose attempts were blocked by Brian Odera in the Bandari defense.
Kuloba wasted another opportunity yet again in the 21st minute when he failed to connect to a Miheso cross.
A minute later, Miheso took matters into his own hands and unleashed a ferocious shot from outside the box but it was directed into the hands of Ngeleka.
Sofapaka were almost punished for their wasted chances in the 34th minute when Frank Ouya was put through on goal but he delayed in pulling the trigger, allowing Stephen Bonny to recover and make an excellent tackle.
The 2009 champions would later miss another chance in the 40th minute, this time Joseph Lihanda hitting the side netting.
The Dockers had the last opportunity of the opening half in the 44th minute when William Wadri took a shot outside the box that went wide as the referee’s whistle blew shortly thereafter.
Second half
Sofapaka picked up from where they left in the first half, with Otieno nearly breaking the deadlock in the 47th minute.
A minute later, Miheso picked a loose ball outside the box and on a half volley, pulled the trigger but the ball went over the bar.
Bandari’s first chance of the second period came in the 55th minute, falling on Frank Ouya who dribbled past his marker inside the box but his shot was way off target.
The coastal side would then survive a scare at the hour mark when Ngeleka failed to clear a corner kick but Kuloba could not take his chance.
The match, which was evenly balanced past the hour mark, saw Wadri take a long range shot that seemed to worry Sitawa but it went wide.
Bandari had a chance go begging in the 70th minute when Wadri released Hassan on the flanks but his cross was way past the red shirts in the Police box.
In the end, neither of the teams could find the back of the net despite pushing and settled for a goalless draw.
With the result, Bandari remained seventh with 38 points, while Sofapaka are rooted at the bottom with 18 points to their name.
