Manga joined Batoto Ba Mungu in October last year
Sofapaka's Congolese forward Roddy Manga is delighted after opening his goal account for Batoto Ba Mungu in the 2-1 win over Nzoia Sugar last weekend at Kasarani Annex.
The 25-year-old came off the bench in place of Joe Waithera to score the leveler after Sofapaka had gone down to Nzoia, then earned the penalty that was converted by Lawrence Juma for the win.

Speaking to the club's media, Manga revealed that he has been working tirelessly for the goal and that although his first for the club took some time to arrive, it is such a confidence boost for him.
"I’ve been pushing and working hard in training, and while it’s taken me a while to get going, I’m overjoyed to have scored my first goal for the club. The achievement has given me the much-needed confidence to move forward," he said.
Further, the forward believes that the goal eased some pressure off his shoulders but is not letting his foot off the pedal as he is targeting more goals in the remaining six matches of the campaign.
"As a striker and a foreign player, there is always pressure to perform. I was brought in to help boost the team’s attack, but it has taken me a while to hit the ground running. I am relieved to have finally found the back of the net, but not entirely, as we need more maximum points as a team to move up in the standings. As a striker, one needs the confidence to be able to perform at their best. I hope this is the first of many goals to come because I really want to help the team in pushing for top five honors," he added.
