Magnus and Anyembe suffered losses for Thun and Esbjerg respectively.

Kenyans plying their trade abroad endured a disappointing Friday night as Magnus Breitenmoser and Daniel Anyembe suffered defeats with their respective clubs.

Magnus Breitenmoser

Kenyan midfielder Magnus Breitenmoser came on as a 57th-minute substitute in Thun’s 3-1 loss to Grasshopper in the Swiss Challenge League.

Thun just needed seven minutes to take the lead in the tie through Saleh Chihadeh but Dominik Schmid restored parity for Grasshopper two minutes before the break.

A strong start to the second half saw Grasshopper grab victory courtesy of goals from Ermir Lenjani and Petar Pušić.

Thun are currently sitting in the Promotion Playoffs spot and are seven points off automatic promotion places.

Daniel Anyembe

Kenyan defender Daniel Anyembe clocked 90 minutes for Esbjerg in the 1-0 loss to Helsingor in the Danish 1st Division.

This becomes the second successive loss for Esbjerg in the Promotion League leaving them seven points adrift off promotion places.

Nicolai Geertsen scored the lone goal in the clash a result that leaves Esbjerg with their work cut out if they are to earn promotion back to the Danish Super League at the first time of asking.
