The win propelled Vojvodina to sixth place in the league standings with 30 points

Harambee Stars defender Collins Sichenje played a pivotal role in Vojvodina's 3-2 victory over FK Radnički 1923 in the Serbia Mozzart Super Liga at Karađorđe Stadium.

The "Red and Whites" ended the year on a high note, earning three crucial points that reignited hopes of securing a European spot.

Former AFC Leopards defender Sichenje completed the full 90 minutes, delivering a commendable performance.

He made two interceptions and as many tackles, showcasing his defensive prowess. Additionally, he won four out of seven ground duels and one of three aerial contests.

Despite his strong showing, Sichenje occasionally struggled, losing possession seven times.

In the 17th minute, he experienced an own-goal scare when he inadvertently put the ball into his net. However, VAR intervened and disallowed the goal due to an offside by Kilian Bevis.

Vojvodina opened the scoring in the 34th minute when Caleb Zadi Seri was fouled inside the penalty area by Milan Mitrović. Uroš Nikolić stepped up and calmly converted the penalty to give the hosts the lead.

Nikolić turned provider 10 minutes later, setting up Dragan Kokanović for Vojvodina’s second goal just before halftime.

The visitors, FK Radnički 1923, reduced the deficit in the 54th minute through Bogdan Mirčetić.

However, Caleb Zadi Seri restored Vojvodina’s two-goal advantage in the 67th minute.

Kilian Bevis added a second goal for Radnički in the 80th minute, but the visitors fell short of mounting a comeback.

The win propelled Vojvodina to sixth place in the league standings with 30 points, just one point behind FK Radnički 1923, who sit in fifth after 20 games.
