The former Kariobangi Sharks midfielder once again played a key role for the Swedish side before being withdrawn in the 68th minute for Lucky Nwafor, who later scored Enköping’s third goal of the evening.
The match also marked a special moment for another Kenyan, Paul Osama, who made his debut for the club following his recent move from FKF Premier League outfit Murang’a Seal.
Osama came on in the 88th minute to replace Isak Braholm, as Enköping wrapped up an important away victory.
Despite the convincing scoreline, Enköping had to withstand heavy pressure from the hosts during the opening stages of the match at Järfällavallen.
Jarfalla nearly took the lead in the 12th minute when Ossian Ogestad fired over the bar, after capitalising on a loose ball around the Enköping penalty area as the visitors struggled in build-up play.
Enköping created a few clear opportunities in the first half, apart from a couple of direct balls towards the speedy Monasur Mohammed and a Mattias Özgün header from a corner.
However, the visitors turned the game around in the closing moments of the first half with two quick goals.
Hadi Noori opened the scoring before Filip Ededahl bundled home from a chaotic corner situation to hand Enköping a somewhat flattering 2-0 lead at the break.
The Swedish side looked more composed after halftime and eventually sealed the victory in the 71st minute when Nwafor made an immediate impact after replacing Odhiambo, driving forward before smashing the ball into the roof of the net.
Speaking after the match, Enköping coach Mattias Wenderyd admitted his side struggled early on but praised their second-half improvement.
“We had a hard time in the first half, but we became better in the second and took over the game. It feels good, but we can still improve,” Wenderyd said.
The victory lifted Enköping to fourth place on the table with 15 points, just one point behind league leaders Hammarby Talang after seven matches.
