Wasteful FC Talanta and Nzoia Sugar shared the points after playing to a 0-0 draw in an FKF Premier League match played on Wednesday afternoon at the Ruaraka Grounds.

Heading into the game, Talanta had drawn 1-1 with Kenya Police FC while Nzoia had lost 1-0 to AFC Leopards FC.

Both teams had chances that they did not utilise and in the end, shared the points in a barren stalemate.

The first real chance of the game went Nzoia's way in the 16th minute when Mohammed Barisa bore his mark and unleashed a low shot which Isaiah Wakasala parried for a corner kick.

The striker missed another good chance in the 22nd minute after latching onto a loose ball, his effort narrowly missed the target with Wakasala off his area.

Talanta's first great chance went Kevintom Machika's way in the 27th minute but his finish was met with a superb block from Nzoia keeper Benson Mangala. The keeper was once again called into action to deny Alex Luganji in the 32nd minute. The first half ended barren.

Two minutes into the second half Alfred Tanui should have given Talanta the lead against his former club with only the keeper to beat, he blasted over the bar. Alex Sunga was denied by Mangala from a tight angle in the 68th minute.

The match became an end-to-end affair as the clock ticked and in the end, the spoils were shared.
