The Scousers were dreaming of the Frenchman's arrival, but his intentions are loud and clear
Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has tarnished all the hopes of Liverpool fans about a possible move to Anfield amid interest from the English side.
The France international was linked with a move to Merseyside from Monaco a year ago, only for Jurgen Klopp's side to lose out in the race for his signature.
Instead, Tchouameni joined Real Madrid in a £85million deal.

His name has since popped up as a potential Liverpool target in the upcoming transfer window again, following Jordan Henderson's and Fabinho's departures.
Tchouameni, though, looks to have ruled himself out of a move to Anfield, after liking a post on Twitter.

Translated from French, it read: "Tchouameni is not for sale. Do you understand Liverpool?"
Journalist Fabrizio Romano also shed light on Tchouameni's future, explaining on YouTube he was keen to remain in the Spanish capital.
"Let me say, from Real Madrid the message is very clear - they want to keep the player," Romano explained.
