The dressing room begs Jadon Sancho: Apologize or leave

Not so long ago, he was considered one of the upcoming stars of world football. Regularly recorded double-digit goals and assists for Borussia Dortmund. But since Manchester United set aside 85,000,000 euros for his transfer in July 2021, Jadon Sancho has been a pale shadow of his BVB self. So much so that even now his teammates from Old Trafford are urging him to 'lower his nose' and apologize to Erik ten Hag.

Or if he won't - then to leave. Already in January. If someone wants to buy him. United are asking for €60,000,000, and what Sancho has been showing in recent years is nowhere near that much money. Especially since he played only 76 minutes this season, while he hasn't been training with the team since the beginning of September.

The reason is an argument with the first team manager. After the defeat in the derby against Arsenal (13), Ten Hag said that Sancho was not in the protocol because he was not good enough in training to be in the team. He then gave preference to summer signings Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho and Facundo Pellistri. Sancho was enraged, not so much because he was watching the match from the stands, but because of Ten Hag's claim that he was not up to standards in training.

"Please don't believe everything you read. I will not allow people to tell complete lies about me. I behaved very well in training last week. And I believe there are other reasons for this, but I won't talk about them. I've been a scapegoat for a long time, it's not fair," wrote Sancho.

It was speculated at the time that Sancho was annoyed that Antony, Ten Hag's signing from Ajax, was being tolerated with a series of bad performances. But he had to expect the coach's reaction. Ten Hag put him away, forbade him even to come to the Carrington training center. He neither trains with the team, nor is he allowed to eat with his teammates.

They now appealed to Sancho to drop the ball and apologize to the boss. But since there has been no such apology for a month and a half, the big question is whether there will be one. Another big question is whether there will be a club ready to pay the requested 60,000,000 euros. The German media already wrote that in Dortmund they are not even thinking about that sum, and that they would carefully analyze whether they need Sancho for much less money. In Borussia, they know very well how difficult his character is. They managed to control it once, even they are not sure that they want to deal with that problem again.

Until the matter is resolved, Sancho will continue to train with United's U18 team. And it is slowly and surely getting worse.
